A promise by the nation.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from
the nation to those who serve. It says we will do
all we can to ensure they are treated fairly and
not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives. This includes offering injured servicemen and women and bereaved families extra support where appropriate.

Explora Security is proud to receive the Ministry of Defence's 2019 Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award for providing ongoing support to the Armed Forces Community.

The Covenant

To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you.

It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

We, the people, recognise this duty to you who so bravely do yours.

The Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme acknowledges those organisations who actively demonstrate support to the Armed Forces Community. Alongside 33 other companies; including Cisco, Microsoft, the Post Office and the British Transport Police, Explora Security has won this award for delivering forces-friendly initiatives in the workplace.
Explora Security is internationally involved in the design, development and testing of various security technologies for governments, multinational organisations, NGO's and large commercial entities including oil companies.

To receive the Silver Award, Explora Security has had to
  • Employ at least one member of the Armed Forces Community.
  • Demonstrate support for our service personnel issues.
  • Actively communicate and uphold a positive stance to our employees.
  • Show flexibility towards annual training and mobilisation commitments of our Reservist employees and support the employment of Cadet Instructors, Armed Forces Veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick) and military spouses/partners.

Commenting on the announcement of the 2019 Employer Recognition Scheme Silver awards, Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace said:

“These awards recognise the outstanding support for our armed forces from employers across Britain and I would like to thank and congratulate each and every one.”
Lt Col (Retd) James Marment, Managing Director of Explora Security, stated:

“Explora's ethos fits right alongside those who have served 'The Colours', protecting people and supporting our national defence effort and interests around the world. It's a family business that supports the families as well as the employee. We are proud to serve the nation and the ERS Silver Award is recognition of that fact.”
